Taking a look at which players to add to your roster for Week 12!
-FFB HUB Staff
No teams on Bye for Week 12.
Here is a list of players that can help you in Week 12 and in the Fantasy Playoffs.
Quarterbacks
Another QB went down with an injury on Sunday. With Joe Burrow now missing the rest of the season for the Cincinnati Bengals, here are a few QBs that could replace him on your roster.
Derek Carr – Raiders at Falcons 1:00 P.M. Sunday
Available in 64% of Yahoo Leagues and 51% of ESPN Leagues
Derek Carr and the Las Vegas Raiders are for real. There is only one team to defeat the defending Super Bowl Champion Chiefs this season, and that was Carr and the Raiders. The Raiders almost pulled it off again on Sunday night but left just under two minutes on the clock after taking the lead. For Mahomes, the 1:43 on the clock is like an eternity, and he drove the Chiefs down field to win. Carr was spectacular again against the Chiefs on Sunday. He had 275 yards with 3 touchdowns and 1 desperation interception at the end of the game. The Raiders are in prime position to not only make the NFL Playoffs, but make some real noise during their run. Carr is a solid addition at QB in fantasy as the Raiders make their push towards the playoffs. Carr will be fired up the rest of the way after this tough loss.
Kirk Cousins – Vikings vs. Panthers 1:00 P.M. Sunday
Available in 60% of Yahoo Leagues and 70% of ESPN Leagues
Cousins does not have the greatest match up this week, and could possibly be with out Thielen in Week 12 against the Panthers. So if you are looking for a one week streamer, Cousins is not the best option. However, if you are needing a long term QB for a playoff run, and are not in a win out to make the playoffs situation, Cousins is a solid add. Cousins has had three straight solid performances. During that span he has thrown for 826 yards and 8 touchdowns with only 1 interception. The Vikings playoff chances are dimming with a loss in Week 11, but Cousins can still be a solid performer during the fantasy playoffs with Thielen and Jefferson lighting it up.
Taysom Hill – Saints at Broncos 4:05 P.M. EST Sunday
Available in 59% of Yahoo Leagues and 10% of ESPN Leagues
Hill led the Saints to victory in his first start replacing Drew Brees for New Orleans. Although Hill has still never thrown a touchdown pass in his NFL careers, Hill did enough to get the job done. Hill was 18 for 23 for 233 yards. He also had 10 carries for 51 yards and two rushing touchdowns. Hill’s running ability makes him a viable fantasy weapon. The Saints have a tough matchup against the Broncos this week, but have favorable matchups against the Falcons and Eagles in Weeks 13 and 14. As long as Brees is out, Hill is a decent replacement. Hill should come available as an option in more ESPN leagues this week as he lost his TE eligibility.
Running Backs
James White – Patriots vs. Cardinals 1:00 P.M. Sunday
Available in 59% of Yahoo Leagues and 65% of ESPN Leagues
The Patriots backfield usually has many mouths to feed. There is one less mouth to feed in New England as Rex Burkhead will most likely miss the rest of the season with an injury. Harris is still the go to early down back, but White is a solid option in PPR leagues as the pass catching back.
Wayne Gallman Jr. – Giants at Bengals 1:00 P.M. Sunday
Available in 44% of Yahoo Leagues and 44% of ESPN Leagues
Gallman Jr. has had at least 1 rushing touchdown in each of his last four games. Gallman Jr. has also been a fantasy RB 1 during that 4 game stretch. He will continue to be a solid option as long as Freeman is still out of the lineup. With the Giants coming off of a bye week, he is still available in a decent amount of leagues.
Running Back to get if still available:
J.K. Dobbins – Ravens
Available in 38% of Yahoo Leagues and 42% of ESPN Leagues
In Week 12 Dobbins looked like the workhorse running back they drafted this year. This may be the turning point for Dobbins usage this season, and he could potentially help fantasy managers make a run if his usage keeps up. He may miss Week 12 due to Covid, but he is a must add in all leagues.
Wide Receivers
Curtis Samuel – Panthers at Vikings 1:00 P.M. Sunday
Available in 51% of Yahoo Leagues and 18% of ESPN Leagues
Samuel continues to be a solid contributor for the Panthers. Outside of Week 11, Samuel has put up respectable numbers and usage since Week 7. With McCaffrey still missing time, the versatile Samuel should see his steady usage continue as a receiver and occasionally on running plays. Samuel had 8 catches for 70 yards and a touchdown in Week 12.
Nelson Agholor – Raiders at Falcons 1:00 P.M. Sunday
Available in 80% of Yahoo Leagues and 83% of ESPN Leagues
Agholor had six catches for 88 yards and a touchdown on nine targets in Week 12. Agholor has cemented himself as the number one receiver for the Raiders, and yet is still available in the majority of fantasy leagues. The Raiders are playing great football right now, and Agholor is a solid add for the rest of the season.
Wide Receivers to roster in all leagues if still available:
Michael Pittman Jr. Available in 57% of Yahoo Leagues and 58% of ESPN Leagues
Cole Beasley – Available in 50% of Yahoo Leagues and 37% of ESPN Leagues
Corey Davis – Available in 50% of Yahoo Leagues and 37% of ESPN Leagues
Tight End
Dalton Schultz – Cowboys vs. Washington 4:30 PM EST Thursday
Available in 80% of Yahoo Leagues and 65% of ESPN Leagues
Did you know that Schultz is the number 5 tight end in targets and receptions this season? He had another solid performance in Week 12 with 4 receptions for 25 yards and a touchdown on Sunday. Schultz’s usage makes him a must add for fantasy managers in need of a TE.
Jordan Reed – 49ers at Rams 4:05 P.M. EST Sunday
Available in 84% of Yahoo Leagues and 79% of ESPN Leagues
The often injured Reed had 5 receptions for 62 yards in Week 10 for the 49ers. A healthy Reed is still a solid fantasy tight end option. Coming off a bye in Week 11, Reed is worth a speculative add as Kittle most likely will not return this season.
Defense
Seattle Seahawks
Available in 71% of Yahoo Leagues and 78% of ESPN Leagues
The Seahawks defense is clicking at the right time. They had a solid performance against the Cardinals in Week 11, and have a favorable 4 game stretch starting in Week 12. The Seahawks next 4 opponents are Philadelphia, the Giants, the Jets and Washington. If you can add the Seahawks to your roster, you have a solid option for the next four weeks that will take you well into the Fantasy Playoffs.
