Week 13 Byes: Buccaneers and Panthers
Quarterback
Kirk Cousins – Vikings vs. Jaguars 1:00 P.M. Sunday
Available in 60% of Yahoo Leagues and 79% of ESPN Leagues
Cousins has been on a tear over the last four weeks. He has now thrown 11 touchdown passes and over 1,100 yards over his past four games. He had 307 yards and three touchdowns in Week 12, and that was with out Adam Thielen. The Vikings are still in the running for one of the last playoff spots, so Cousins should be a viable option the rest of the way.
Running Back
Frank Gore – Jets vs. Raiders 1:00 P.M. EST Sunday
Available in 75% of Yahoo Leagues and 81% of ESPN Leagues
Gore’s numbers aren’t sexy, but the consistent touches he keeps seeing is. With Perine out of the picture, Gore has the backfield to himself. Gore has had 33 carries for 135 yards and a touchdown over his past two games. The 0-11 Jets wont usually (or ever) have the game script in favor of Gore, but he should still continue to see a good amount of volume. If you are in need of a RB, Gore’s touches make him a good add.
Cam Akers – Rams at Cardinals 4:05 P.M. EST
Available in 70% of Yahoo Leagues and 72% of ESPN Leagues
Akers made the most of his 9 carries on Sunday with 84 yards and a touchdown. Akers was getting all the love before the season started, but has not seen the volume due to injury and the competition from Henderson and Brown. The three headed monster is usually one to stay away from, but Akers is worth a speculative add as he might see an uptick in usage during the fantasy playoffs.
Devante Booker – Raiders at Jets 1:00 P.M. Sunday
Available in 90% of Yahoo Leagues and 94% of ESPN Leagues
Booker might be a one week rental, but if you are in need of an RB in week 13 for a final playoff push, Booker could be the guy. Jacobs suffered an injury in Week 12, and is questionable to play in Week 13. Even after a horrendous performance against the Falcons, the Raiders are still in the playoff hunt. With a Week 13 matchup with the 0-11 Jets, the Raiders might decide not to rush Jacobs back and run with Booker as their RB this week.
Wide Receiver
Breshad Perriman – Jets vs. Raiders 1:00 P.M. Sunday
Available in 88% of Yahoo Leagues and 85% of ESPN Leagues
Remember when Perriman was on of the stars of the fantasy playoffs last year? He is in prime position to do it again. Perriman has been productive over his past three games with 11 receptions for 234 yards and three touchdowns. The 0-11 Jets game script will most likely always be in his favor, and he has the potential to have back to back years of fantasy playoff magic.
Sammy Watkins – Chiefs vs. Broncos 8:20 P.M. EST Sunday
Available in 56% of Yahoo Leagues and 65% of ESPN Leagues
Watkins returned to the Chiefs in Week 12 with 4 catches for 38 yards. He is far behind Hill and Kelce for looks, but the third receiving option in the high powered Chiefs offense is worth rostering.
