Week 16 is here! Here is a list of players that can help you bring home a championship!
-FFB HUB Staff
Quarterback
Jalen Hurts – Eagles at Cowboys Sunday 4:25 P.M. EST
Available in 60% of Yahoo Leagues and 52% of ESPN Leagues
If you are still in need of a QB this week, there is no better waiver option than Hurts. He has put up spectacular numbers since taking over as the starting QB for the Eagles. In the Week 14 loss to the Cardinals, Hurts and Murray put on a show. Hurts was 24/44 for 338 yards and three touchdowns. He also had 11 carries for 63 yards and a touchdown on the ground. Hurts is a must add, and with a matchup against the Cowboys, he could be a great replacement for a QB with a bad matchup. It might not be ideal to bench your QB that you have had all season, but sometimes you have to be bold to win a championship!
Running Back
Giovani Bernard – Bengals at Texans 1:00 P.M. Sunday
Available in 47% of Yahoo Leagues and 43% of ESPN Leagues
Bernard took on the brunt of the work for the Bengals in the Monday Night upset over the Steelers. Against a tough Steelers defense, he had 25 carries for 83 yards and a touchdown. He gets a much easier matchup this week against the Texans defense. If the Bengals can play as well as they did on Monday Night, he might be running the ball often to run out the clock at the end of this one too.
Tony Pollard – Cowboys vs. Eagles Sunday 4:25 P.M. EST
Available in 53% of Yahoo Leagues and 52% of ESPN Leagues
With Elliott out of the lineup for the Cowboys, Pollard starred as the starter. He had 12 carries for 69 yards and two touchdowns. He also had 6 receptions for 63 yards. With Elliott dealing with an injury he may be out again in Week 16. If he is, Pollard will be an RB1 this week against the Eagles. Also, Zeke is not super happy with the Cowboys right now. If Elliott forces his way out of Dallas, Pollard could be the Cowboys RB of the future.
Running Back to keep an eye on:
Salvon Ahmed – Dolphins at Raiders Saturday 8:15 P.M. EST
Available in 65% of Yahoo Leagues and 67% of ESPN Leagues
Ahmed is worth a look if Gaskin misses again this week. Ahmed should see the majority of the carries against a weak Raiders rush defense if Gaskin is out.
Wide Receiver
Keke Coutee – Texans vs. Bengals 1:00 P.M. Sunday
Available in 59% of Yahoo Leagues and 55% of ESPN Leagues
Coutee has established himself as a viable target for Watson and the Texans. He has had 16 receptions on 19 targets over his past three games two touchdowns. The Texans seem to find a new way to lose this week, so look for them throwing often in this one against a Bengals team that is riding high after their upset over the Steelers.
Jakobi Meyers – Patriots vs. Bills 8:15 EST Monday
Available in 70% of Yahoo Leagues and 58% of ESPN Leagues
Meyers was a top pickup during the middle of the season when he was on a tear weeks 8-10. Although his production has slowed down a bit, his targets have remained fairly steady. Week 15 was another big game for him as he put up 111 yards and 7 receptions on 10 targets. The Patriots face off against the Bills this week on Monday Night. Look for them to be throwing often, with Meyers seeing a high number of targets.
Tight End
Logan Thomas – Washington vs. Carolina 4:05 P.M. Sunday
Available in 36% of Yahoo Leagues and 30% of ESPN Leagues
Thomas seems to be on our pickup list every week. In a terrible year for tight ends, Thomas should be rostered in more leagues. He is coming off his biggest week of the year and is TE3 over the past four weeks. In Week 15 Thomas had 13 receptions for 101 yards on 15 targets. Unless you have one of the top tight ends in the league, you should consider giving Thomas a shot this week.
